Ensure compliance with ISPS, SSP, SQM, flag state, and national regulations under the supervision of the Ship Security Officer (SSO)
Manage gangway operations, including access control, visitor documentation, and crew training, ensuring smooth and secure operations
Operate and maintain security equipment, conduct safety drills, and report malfunctions to the Staff Captain
Conduct environmental training, maintain related documentation, and oversee pest control measures in line with company standards
Coordinate with port agents for waste and water management (e.G., garbage, sludge, bilge water)
Maintain and train crew on Ballast Water and Garbage Management Plans;
review voyage plans with environmental considerations
