The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy at UH Hairmyres for a Student Pharmacy Technician.

You will provide pharmaceutical technical services within all sections of the pharmacy department to patients attending or admitted to the hospital and support the Pharmacy Technicians in the day‑to‑day running of dispensary / stores and clinical services. You will be expected to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely supply of in-patient, out-patient, and discharge prescriptions, pharmaceutical stock, and non-stock supplies to wards and departments.

Over a 2-year period you will work towards gaining a Diploma/SQA National Certificate in Pharmacy Services / SVQ Level III and becoming a Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Candidates must have a minimum of four National 5 qualifications, including Biology, Chemistry, English, and Maths.
