3rd Engineer on Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD)

Position on a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD). The 3rd Engineer operates and maintains the vessel's engineering systems to support safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems in the engine room.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure vessel readiness.
• Monitor consumables and fluids (fuel, lube oil, water) and maintain accurate logs and records.
• Respond to equipment alarms and emergencies following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid seafarer engineering certification appropriate to the role.
• Experience on dredging vessels or similar demanding operations is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
