Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of the deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations and overall vessel safety on international voyages.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Stand navigational watch as OOW in line with company and COLREG requirements
- Assist with voyage planning, chart and publication corrections
- Support safe cargo operations, including loading and discharging vehicles
- Carry out safety rounds, inspections and maintenance as assigned
- Assist with drills, safety equipment checks and ISM/ISPS compliance
- Prepare and update logbooks and other deck documentation
- **Requirements**:
- Valid 3rd Officer / OICNW CoC meeting STCW requirements
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid Seaman’s Book
- Good watchkeeping and navigational skills
- Previous car carrier or Ro-Ro experience preferred
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
