Public Sector People are working with a Council in Sydney who are looking for an Accounts Officer to join them on a contract basis.
The council are looking for someone who has accounts receivable experience within local government.Β
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing customer enquiries relating to rates, accounts receivable, payments, receipts, and revenue services
- Processing invoices, refunds, credit notes, direct debits, and receipting transactions
- Assisting with debtor monitoring and debt collection activities
- Processing Notices of Sale and investigating Returned Rate Notices
- Maintaining accurate records and data within Council systems
- Supporting the issuance of statutory certificates, including Section 603 Certificates
- Managing incoming and outgoing revenue-related correspondence
- Investigating and resolving unallocated payments and account discrepancies
