About the project

James is in a loving relationship with his girlfriend, Carly, but beneath the surface, he struggles with feelings of inadequacy and low self‑worth. After being brutally beaten and humiliated in front of Carly following a Valentine’s Day date, James becomes consumed by the belief that he must become stronger in order to protect her and prove that he is enough. As James dedicates himself to intense boxing training, Carly begins to notice him withdrawing from the relationship. While she simply wants him to be present and confident in who he is, James becomes increasingly fixated on strength, masculinity, and the need to prove himself.
