Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant will work with supervisor to complete assessments. They will also:


+ Assist in implementing 1:1 and group activities with assigned residents.

+ Adapts or modifies activities to meet resident’s needs.

+ Provides residents with resources, supplies, and equipment.

+ Provides emotional support to residents and families.

+ Provides a positive, supportive atmosphere during recreation sessions.

+ Ensures resident safety during recreation sessions; follows health and safety policies, anticipates hazards, and takes appropriate measures.

+ Participates in team meetings

+ Communicates behavioral observations of residents to other staff and team members.


· Encourages resident involvement in recreation opportunities and provides necessary supports to facilitate involvement
