ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for planning and leading engaging, skill-building activities in areas such as STEAM, literacy, sports, art, dance, coding, or martial arts. Activity Specialists collaborate with Group Leaders and Youth Workers to deliver high-quality instruction. Specific duties and responsibilities include:


+ Provide specialized instruction in STEAM, Literacy, organized sports, art, photography, cartooning, dance, coding or martial arts

+ Collaborate with Group Leaders and Youth Workers to effectively implement the relevant program component

+ Create and implement lesson plans/curriculum framework and pacing calendar for activity that is based on outcomes

+ Be prepared to put together a performance piece or portfolio of the youths’ work for showcases and celebrations

+ Help youth to develop healthy self-esteem, decision-making skills, respect, & discipline
