As an Addiction Medicine Specialist, you will offer GP or SP services to clients with a primary condition aside from Substance Use Disorder. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including Nursing, Social Work, and peer support, is essential to ensure effective assessment and treatment. You will also teach and train medical students and residents as part of UBC's Faculty of Medicine affiliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose substance use disorders in acute care
• Manage complex withdrawal symptoms effectively
• Initiate opioid agonist therapy during hospital stays
