Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in the Humanities, Social Science, and Communication Department available for Fall 2026. The selected candidate will teach courses in our Communication Series, which focuses on composition, technical communication, and presentation skills. The candidate will most likely teach multiple sections of COM1001, Freshman Composition, but may be asked to teach COM2001, Writing for the STEM professions, or COM3001, Professional Presentations.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in English, Rhetoric, Communication, or similar required, Ph.D. preferred

Fluency with learning management systems and communication software such as Canvas and Microsoft Teams

Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred; otherwise relevant industry experience may be considered.
