Summary Serves as an Airway Transportation System Specialist (Instructor) within the Technical Operations Training Division at the FAA Academy. Responsibilities Develops course control documents/training material and/or conducts theoretical and practical training on assigned National Airspace System (NAS) equipment and systems for field technical experts involved with the installation and maintenance of one or more NAS systems. The NAS equipment, services and systems include some or all of the following: Navigation and Landing Systems, Communications, Terminal and EnRoute Radar, Terminal Automation, EnRoute Automation, NAS Information Services, and ARTCC and GNAS Environmental. Participates in and/or conducts special projects or staff studies concerning the technical or administrative aspects of the training program function.
