Summary
The Anesthesia Technologist is a member of staff who provides technical support services to the clinical staff and to the department. The incumbent is responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of anesthesia machines.
Responsibilities
Identifies electronic or mechanical problems in anesthesia machines, including those of system set up procedures, system leak detection, and calibration techniques for each anesthesia monitoring function. Identifies and resolves electronic or mechanical problems with commonly employed anesthesia equipment including physiologic monitors for ECG, NIBP, SA02, ETC02, Peripheral nerve stimulators, invasive hemodynamic monitors, airway pressure, electronic humidifiers, fluid warmers, patient heating or cooling systems, infusion pumps, Doppler's, data recorders, or any other equipment system required in the common application...
