Responsibilities:

• Give food and water to animals.
• Examine animals for signs of illness or injury.
• Exercise animals.
• Train animals to obey or behave in a specific manner.
• Cleans and disinfects cages, pens, and yards and sterilizes laboratory equipment and surgical instruments.
• Examines animals for signs of illness and treat them according to instructions.
• Transfers animals between cages.
• Adjusts controls to regulate the temperature and humidity of animals' cages.
• Records information according to instructions, such as genealogy, diet, weight, medications, and food intake.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
