Applications Engineer
Job Description
The Applications Engineer develops custom workholding and mechanical solutions by combining engineering, CAD design, and cost estimating expertise. This customer-facing role works with sales teams and customers to evaluate requirements, create solution concepts, prepare quotations, estimate costs and delivery timelines, and deliver technically sound, profitable solutions while managing project risks.
Responsibilities

+ Partner with sales teams and customers to identify application needs and recommend solutions.

+ Design custom workholding and mechanical solutions using engineering principles and CAD software (SolidWorks).

+ Create concept drawings, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.

+ Prepare quotations, proposals, cost estimates, delivery schedules, and ERP bids.

+ Present technical solutions and provide product expertise to customers.
