A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified archivist to join the small, friendly and highly motivated team at the Kent Archive Service on a permanent full-time basis.

Role Responsibility

The Archive Services Officer role includes a wide range of professional duties, from dealing with depositors, accessioning and cataloguing, to answering detailed research enquiries about the collections and participating in our outreach programmes.

KALHS is based at the Kent History and Library Centre, Maidstone. It is an Accredited Archives Service and has Place of Deposit status for housing public records. The archival collections include Kent County Council, the dioceses of Rochester and Canterbury, ecclesiastical parishes, borough and other local authorities, and extensive private/unofficial.
