Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration,The incumbent serves as an Archives Technician in the Military Personnel Records, Military Reference Core 3 of the Federal Records Center Program. The incumbent performs numerous activities involved in the processing of file level reference requests of military personnel records from a variety of customers. Responsibilities As an Archives Technician, you will: Review incoming reference requests in a variety of formats and input data using an automated customer relations management software tool. Apply understanding of service branches and unique identifiers to populate data with a high degree of accuracy. Communicate with various customers by telephone or email to clarify a request or obtain additional information which may facilitate a response.
