Educational Assistant D - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Multiple Positions)

American Sign Language Level 2.0 Or Higher Is Required.

This position provides support through a multi-sensory approach in language and all academic areas, enabling children to achieve maximum potential. The incumbent provides support to student(s) who are deaf or hard of hearing in the regular classroom and resource room setting. The successful candidate requires the ability to work as a team member with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reinforcement of American Sign Language (ASL) skills
• Provides assistance and support to students within the integrated classroom and resource room settings (e.g., clarifies verbal instructions, checks comprehension of class information, reviews and reinforces concepts)
