The Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) is part of the Cancer Institute at University College London.
The CTC is responsible for the development and conduct of clinical trials to evaluate new approaches to the treatment of cancer and is a UKCRC Registered Clinical Trials Unit. The CTC has a portfolio which includes multicentre phase III trials using survival, tumour response and quality of life as endpoints. The portfolio also encompasses phase I and II trials, some with biological endpoints, and there is an interest in screening studies within the organisation. CTC staff collaborate with clinicians and research staff in the UK and abroad. The CTC Director is Allan Hackshaw, Professor of Epidemiology & Medical Statistics at UCL.
