Position Overview

The Assistant Architectural Design Manager is responsible for overseeing design related aspects of construction projects directly at the site. This role ensures that the design intent is accurately implemented, coordinates with contractors and consultants, and resolves design issues during construction. The architect/engineer acts as a bridge between design and execution, maintaining quality, compliance, and timely delivery.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Design Implementation & Oversight

  • Ensure architectural/engineering plans and specifications are correctly and executed on-site
  • Monitor construction activities to verify alignment with approved drawings and design intent
  • Provide, review, and approve all necessary site drawings including but not limited to Shop drawings, spot details (RFA/RFI)
  • Conduct regular inspections and site walks to assess progress and quality
