Our Client is in the Mining industry and is seeking an Assistant Controller for an 18‑month contract assignment. The role is hybrid with 2 to 3 days a week in office located in downtown Toronto and the remainder work remote from home.

The primary purpose of this role is to consolidate the financial results of the business units and to ensure that the company meets its obligations for the timely and accurate preparation of external financial reports while complying with regulatory requirements and meeting the needs of investors, analysts and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Completes a review of business unit and corporate accounting that would identify errors in excess of $2.5 M USD and identify trends and insights to better understand current business operations for telling the story of quarterly reporting and for forecasting purposes.
