Assistant Controller

Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and mentor a small accounting team within a professional‑services environment that includes general and trust accounting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting capability, proven experience supervising accounting staff, and a track record of improving processes and documentation.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

Lead, coach, and cross‑train a small team of accounting clerks while fostering collaboration and accountability

Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL maintenance, write‑offs, disbursements, and month‑end procedures

Complete high‑volume bank and credit card reconciliations and ensure trust accounting accuracy and compliance
