Responsibilities

• Promote a corporate culture of health and safety in the department by enforcing OHS policy and procedures, facilitating the appointment of statutory appointees and establishing OHS committees, implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations, and maintaining incident and accident management systems.
• Develop and promote health and safety awareness at all levels within the department, ensure compliance with OHS rules, provide advisory support during special events, and monitor emergency preparedness.
• Accompany inspectors or advisors on workplace inspections, assist in developing SOPs and other protocols, and ensure the availability of OHS equipment to support a safe work environment.
