Key Responsibilities Prepare and release process sheets, setup sheets, and routing plans for machining operations. Design and/or select jigs, fixtures, and tooling (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic) to support efficient machining. Conduct machining feasibility studies and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) inputs. Estimate cycle time, tooling, and part costing for machined components, including overheads. Standardize workholding, tooling, and inspection methods across machines and vendor base. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, SMED, 5S) to improve productivity and reduce waste. Support vendor development team with process audits, capability assessments, and technical guidance. Define and implement inspection stages, tolerances, and in-process checks in line with GD&T and quality requirements.
