Position Overview

Company Background: Apparel Industry (Uniforms & Accessories)

Position Title: Assistant Manager - Purchasing

Working day: Monday to Friday, 830am - 5:30pm

Work Location: Cheras, KL

Salary range: up to RM6,000

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery targets.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, trims, accessories, and footwear items.
  • Oversee and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfilment.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company SOPs, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate closely with Production and Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Manage and control purchasing budgets, while supporting cost-saving and value-improvement initiatives.
