The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit (1JPW) to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. 

1JPW is a 15-bed inpatient unit dedicated to psychiatric evaluation and care of child and adolescent patients (3-17 years old). Patients on the child and adolescent unit experience depression, anxiety, eating disorders, intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Members of a full complement of professionals provide structured therapy, including dialectical behavior therapy. A unique unit design incorporates Circle School, gymnasium, and outdoor activities to improve patient experience and outcomes.
