Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent with expertise in areas related to, but not limited to, the biology of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases with an outstanding track record in basic and/or translational research are encouraged to apply. Applicants with a track record in basic biology related to cellular metabolism are also encouraged to apply. Research independence and leadership with demonstrated capacity to lead a productive research team.
Proven track record in obtaining competitive research funding and publications in high impact scientific journals.
Prior experience in translating research towards pre-clinical or commercial applications is desirable but not essential.
Ability to mentor and train graduate students and postdoctoral research staff.
