Position Overview
The Associate Research Scientist will support a study focused on early childhood educator-child interactions, commonly referred to as the Small Moments Study. This project examines how everyday moments of connection between early childhood educators and young children support relational quality, educator wellbeing, and classroom climate. The study involves survey data collection and qualitative interviews with early childhood educators and is led by Drs. Erin O'Connor and Robin Neuhaus.
This position is part-time, paid hourly, and may be conducted fully remote depending on project needs. The Associate Research Scientist will play a key role in supporting data collection, qualitative and quantitative data preparation, and early stages of analysis, as well as contributing to dissemination materials. The role requires prior training in education or social science research methods and the ability to work independently while coordinating closely with project leadership.
