Description of Services:



The Head Coach is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics, the Head of School and Athletic Coordinator. The coach of an individual sport must realize that any activity sponsored by the school and BPS Athletics is part of the total program offered by Boston Public Schools. Individuals in charge of such activities must utilize sound educational principles and goals, as athletics are a valued part of the overall school program.



Duties of the Head Coach shall include (but not limited to):


+ Model the behaviors outlined in the National Federation Coaches Code of Ethics, especially those pertaining to sportsmanship.

+ Have full control of the team in all matters pertaining to coaching and athletic discipline.

+ Implement BPS Athletic Department, Boston Public Schools and school policies, procedures and team rules.
