A California plaintiff-side employment and labor law firm is seeking an Attorney to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote opportunity with the potential for permanent conversion based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit. The firm is open-minded regarding candidate backgrounds and is seeking an attorney interested in handling Industrial Disability Retirement (IDR) matters, labor matters, or a blend of both. This role offers the opportunity to develop experience in a unique practice area while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to representing employees and public-sector workers.


Responsibilities

+ Manage a caseload of Industrial Disability Retirement (IDR) and/or labor law matters

+ Handle IDR applications and related proceedings, including matters involving medical records and expert testimony

+ Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and client correspondence
