General Description
Expected to provide and assist audiological services to all patients of all ages. Will also require fitting hearing aids and participate in all routine duties within the Services.
Organization and Management
- To assist the audiologist in the clinic as and when required.
- To perform all audiology assessments.
- To perform newborn hearing screening and compile hearing screening statistics for record keeping.
- To conduct objective and subjective tests, key‑in patient details, and obtain prescriptions from the medical officer.
- To do daily checks on audiology equipment and clean it after each session.
- To ensure audiology services are in good order and well organized.
- To switch equipment on/off in the clinic every morning and at the end of the day, reporting any malfunctions to the audiologist in charge.
