Primary Responsibilities:

+ Assist in patient audiometric testing and in patient education
+ Screen newborns to access level of hearing acuity using technical audiometric equipment.
+ Recognize need to postpone screening and request medical assistance for newborn as necessary.
+ Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and order within clinic, testing areas and equipment.
+ Demonstrate cost effective use of human and material resources and report supply and material shortages to manager/director.
+ Relay screening results to parents.
+ Retrieve test results and record data according to department standards.
+ Consult with audiologist or manager if there are equipment problems or other issues.
+ Complete forms and other paperwork and conducts other miscellaneous clerical duties as needed.
+ All other duties as assigned by manager.
