Automotive Technician

Location: BMW Markham, Markham, ON L3R 5M2

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs on vehicles as assigned
• Performs vehicle inspections and assessments, including diagnosing issues
• Documents all work performed to manufacturer standards and/or recommendations on the repair order
• Road tests vehicles as required
• Ensures that customer cars are kept clean
• Attends all training courses as requested by service management
• Assists in training and supervising apprentice technicians

Qualifications

• 310S Automotive service technician trade certification, meeting provincial requirements
• Maintains all relevant licences and qualifications to perform duties
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical repairs and procedures
• Knowledge of provincial safety standards concerning the performance and area of position responsibility
