Job Summary:

A Behavior Health Specialist (BHS) works with high risk children in residential settings licensed by the Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS). These children and youth served range from infants to teens and require various levels of supervision, support, and intervention, as they work through and deal with the issues that have led to their placements. Our goal for children in care is to help them heal from the traumas they have experienced and learn better coping strategies. BHS will be trained in trauma sensitivity and taught effective intervention strategies to use with children.
