:Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, you will be a part of the Mine Operations Department. You will be responsible to perform all blast duties under the supervision of the lead blasters at our Detour Lake Mine Site. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Assist lead blaster with various blasting requirements;
Assist with blast site hazard assessments to ensure the blast site area is a safe working environment;
Ensure that all equipment used is in good operating condition;
Ensure that all regulations both federally (TDG, Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS) and provincially (Blasting Safety and OH&S Regulations) are adhered to within the operation in regards to personnel, product storage, and product transportation;
