Body D&R Engineer

The Body D&R Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release for some of the following functions: door glass, door modules, hard tops, soft top or tonneaus exposure, Body‑in‑white / Body closure sheet metal and hinging.

Responsibilities

• Interface and coordinate packaging with product design office, vehicle development, other Exterior and Body Engineering teams, and adjacent departments (electromechanical, electrical, lighting, trim) as well as suppliers to design, develop and release these components/systems.
• Provide feasibility input for development of designs from Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketches, and clay models.
• Develop functional objectives, build objectives, DVP&R / DFMEA and manage the production supplier to meet all requirements; also responsible for the release of completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tool.
