Job Summary

Maintains and monitors the operation of steam generating boilers, water treatment, distribution systems and maintains system needs and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties


+ Operates and monitors medium pressure steam generating boilers.

+ Makes chemical checks of boiler water.

+ Records periodic readings from graphs, meter charts, gauges.

+ Maintains hourly and daily records of fuel consumed, water used and steam produced.

+ Assures that operations conform to regulation.

+ Maintains daily operating information as required by licensing authorities.

+ Operates and monitors primary water treatment and distribution system.

+ Checks chlorine levels of water systems.

+ Maintains reservoir levels.

+ Monitors fire line pressure and room temperature.

+ Regenerates water softeners.

+ Checks and maintains water pumps.
