About the role

Reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Building Services, this role plays a key part in delivering Council's statutory building functions and ensuring compliance with the Building Act, Building Regulations and associated legislation.

You'll join a highly regarded team of building professionals who work collaboratively to deliver safe and compliant development outcomes across one of Melbourne's most dynamic municipalities.

Other responsibilities include:

Coordinating and managing building enforcement matters, investigations and compliance activities.

Preparing reports, enforcement documentation and recommendations relating to building legislation and regulatory requirements.

Providing expert advice on building compliance, enforcement and regulatory matters.

Participate in after-hours emergency call-out roster.
