Buyer/Planner

Job Summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is currently seeking a Buyer/Planner to plan and control Manufacturing and Purchase Orders in support of on-time performance of production schedules, to achieve a balance of maximizing productivity and minimizing inventory, and to procure and expedite materials and resources in support of final assembly schedule while adhering to MRP planning logic.



Job Responsibilities


+ Release and act on manufacturing orders in support of the department work schedule and shipment plan set forth by the master production schedule.

+ Review and act on MRP messages as they relate to manufacturing and purchase orders.

+ Review and respond to shortages daily.

+ Resolve transaction discrepancies.

+ Work with other departments to develop a smooth flow of material from suppliers to customers.
