CAD Engineer (Composite / Thermoforming) Location: Nhon Trach, Dong Nai Report to: Engineering Manager 1. Role Overview The CAD Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and manufacturing of composite parts and tooling. This role focuses on 2D/3D design, forming simulation, and tooling development to ensure product performance and manufacturability. 2. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Develop 2D flat patterns for composite layups considering forming constraints Convert 2D layouts into 3D forming patterns (spring-back, forming behavior) Design thermal forming molds based on 3D CAD data Create waterjet nesting programs to optimize material usage Simulation & Analysis Perform FEA analysis (forming simulation, stress/strain evaluation) Provide technical feedback to optimize customer designs Project & Process Support Participate in mold tuning and forming trials Collaborate with machine shop during tooling fabrication Apply DOE (Design of Experiments) for proc...
