Responsibilities

• Perform Imaging Tests (EchoCardiograms) and Non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations which may include Exercise tolerance tests (Stress test), Holter monitoring, Event recorders, 24 hr Ambulatory BP Monitoring, Electrocardiograms at Technical level and Assist in Performing Transesophageal echocardiography.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures to patient, address patients’ concerns, and follow established pre-screening policy and procedure.
• Determine appropriate methodology and techniques to use; arrange immobilization and/or support devices for proper patient positioning; select appropriate imaging device.
• Prepare patient for echocardiography procedures, position patient as appropriate for prescribed procedure, and assist patients at completion of procedure.
• Use good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.
