- Handle transactions: Operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and debit cards
- Manage money: Calculate costs, give correct change, and balance the cash drawer at the end of a shift.
- Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and assist customers queries.
- Secondary duty: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.
