The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. To provide financial information by maintaining and reconciling transactions, accounts, cash, invoices, receipts and preparing report.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for petty cash box and to ensure that pretty cash are counted and reconciled monthly, signed for and filed numerically.
- Completed daily and prepared for processing into accounts system.
- Ensure that all bank transactions are accurately and timely processed into the accounting system and get bank statement monthly with which to do bank reconciliations and have the Line Manager signed off bank reconciliation and file correctly.
- Records transactions and make journal entries when cash is paid and received.
