Position Summary

The Category Manager, IT will manage one or more larger procurement spend categories, including, but not necessarily limited to the entire portfolio of Technology spend (which includes cloud and SaaS platforms, enterprise software and network infrastructure, cybersecurity and data protection, AI and machine learning platforms, IT professional services, and AV equipment and services) while ensuring appropriate strategic alignment of the designated portfolios of assigned team members. Conduct periodic IT portfolio analysis and develop appropriate strategies by identifying the value or financial impact to the University and level of supply risk. Engage stakeholders to understand and meet the needs and goals of the business unit and how procurement can support those goals.
