Sandwell’s Bereavement Services provide a number of services to families at what is often a very difficult time in their lives. Our Reception Suite and Café facility at Sandwell Valley Crematorium is a key service offering wakes in a purpose built, licensed facility and a friendly and welcoming café for those attending services or visiting loved ones in our grounds.

We are looking to appoint a suitability qualified, empathetic and enthusiastic Catering Officer to be part of a small team, helping to run these services. This role requires undertaking all tasks associated with the preparation and serving of food and beverages at the Reception Suite and the Café, the booking of wakes, checking and validation of information and providing advice and guidance to all customers and relevant stakeholders.
