Purpose
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic will contribute to achieving the goals of the Maintenance Department ensuring that the team continues to foster a safe and efficient work environment, minimize downtime and ensure optimum equipment effectiveness through proactive maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of heavy‑duty mining equipment (e.g., haul trucks, loaders, bulldozers, graders, excavators, drills).
- Perform preventative maintenance as per OEM and site maintenance schedules.
- Rebuild and overhaul engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other major components.
- Follow and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations (including Ontario's OHSA and site‑specific safety policies).
