As part of the Youth Crisis Intervention Team (YCIT), you will engage with youths up to 25 years old presenting in the emergency department. Your role will involve comprehensive crisis assessments and crafting personalized care recommendations collaboratively with patients and families. With flexible shifts that include days, evenings, and weekends, you'll be integral in ensuring a smooth transition for those requiring inpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess youth for mental health and addiction issues
• Create and implement safety plans for at-risk youth
• Work alongside families and healthcare teams effectively
• Assist in inpatient admission processes as needed
• Address community resource referrals and support
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in child and youth work
