Position Overview

Responsibilities
  • Abstractcomplete and accurate diagnoses and procedures after a thorough review of day surgery records and assign appropriate ICD-10-AM and ACHI codes.
  • Input data into the clinical coding system.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify any incomplete or ambiguous documentation.
  • Participate in internal coding audits and reviews.
  • Maintain consistency in coding by optimizing coding output and quality.
  • Monitor uncoded discharges from OAS system to achieve timely coding and meet subvention deadline.
  • Work with relevant parties to resolve coding-related issues.
  • Participate in continuing education and training of new coders.
