Position Overview

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree Clinical Laboratory Sciences or one of the physical sciences – Chemistry, Biology, etc.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in designated clinical laboratory setting.
  • Current New York State License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist
  • Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist – PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Information System – Preferred
  • Must possess verbal and spatial ability, form perception, finger and manual dexterity and clerical ability.
  • Near visual acuity required for reading results from reports and viewing computer screens
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to read computer screens, procedure manuals and other documents
  • Ability to hear doorbells, alarms, telephone, and other mechanical devices
