The Animal Welfare Office (AWO) supports biomedical research activities at the University of Otago. We uphold the highest international standards for the welfare and ethical treatment of research and teaching animals, working closely with scientists conducting pioneering research.

As a Clinical Veterinarian you will work in a team to support the Animal Welfare Officer with a high level of animal care and welfare. Your responsibilities include providing clinical veterinary advice, training staff and students, implementing animal care systems, and prescribing medicines in compliance with the ACVM Act 1997.
