Roles and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using exact measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints
• Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
• Various tasks including cutting material, machine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and housekeeping.

Credentials

• Machinist Trade Certification
